Intense Pulsed Light Skin Tightening Treatments

This novel treatment uses intense pulsed light at specific wave lengths that are strongly absorbed by the collagen-containing and fatty layers of the skin. When this special light is absorbed, it transfers heat to this region, which results in the tightening of the existing collagen fibers and the stimulation of new collagen. This treatment works at the skin’s surface level. Treating at the surface level is how it differs from the deeper heating of the radio frequency tightening (see Accent Radio Frequency). In addition, a series of treatments, usually six, is required.

This treatment is considered to be a non-down time procedure. Both normal after effects and side effects are rare. This treatment is often done in conjunction with the regular IPL / AFT Photofacials for optimal results.

Intense Pulsed Light Skin Tightening Treatments Pre treatment:

• The skin is cleansed.
• A clear gel is applied to the skin to improve the light’s penetration.
• A photofacial is optional.
• The skin tightening head is pulsed over the skin, resulting in a warm heating sensation.

Intense Pulsed Light Skin Tightening Treatments Post treatment:

• The gel is removed.
• Sunscreen is applied.
• Normal activities are resumed.

Blue light IPL (IPL = Intense pulsed light): These treatments are our most advanced anti-acne care. In this gentle series of treatments the blue light strikes the acne bacteria, activating certain agents in the bacteria, to cause their ultimate demise. This acne treatment effectively and dramatically reduces the acne. Extra benefits with this acne treatment includes a reduction in undesired red spots and brown spots. Occasionally, improvements in tone, texture and pore size lines can be observed. A series of 12 is recommended.

IPL: Intense pulsed light treatments are our most advanced vessel clearing care. In this gentle series of treatments heat is transferred to the undesired blood vessel walls to cause their ultimate demise. This treatment effectively and dramatically reduces the vascularity. Extra benefits with this treatment include a reduction in undesired pigmentation. Occasionally, improvements in tone, texture and fine lines can be observed. A series of 6 is recommended.

Treatment: IPL Skin Tightening - this type of Skin Laxity treatment uses broad spectrum pulsed light to cause purposeful heating

Intense Pulsed Light Skin Tightening Treatments are repeated at monthly intervals for a series of six treatments.
