Carboxitherapy

Carboxitherapy treatment consists of therapeutic use of carbon dioxide (CO2), which is injected subcutaneously (under the skin). CO2 is non-toxic when it is injected below the skin. CO2 stimulates an enzyme (lipoprotein lipase) that breaks down fat (triglycerides), and produces a high consumsumption of oxygen from fatty cells (adipocytes). This causes the blood vessels to open and blood flow increases to the poorly supplied cellulite tissue. By reestablishing the correct blood flow to cellulite areas and improving the lymphatic drainage, the cellulite lumpiness is reduced.

The carboxitherapy machine allows for adjustments to CO2 flow speed, injection time and percentage of administered doses. Carboxitherapy is a safe and effective procedure, which may be used on everybody wherever fat is placed, without causing either systemic toxicity or side effects. There may be a sensation at the needle insertion point which will last a couple of minutes. The Carboxitherapy procedure takes between 30-40 minutes and requires two weekly sessions when done alone or one session a week when combined with other techniques.

This Cellulite treatment stimulates the circulatory system in the cellulite region. The therapy causes the toxins to be flushed out and new nutrients to be delivered to the tissue. The main side effects of this treatment are a small amount of bruising and occasionally a temporary puffiness of air under the skin. [...]
